TopOption Review

TopOption Review

There’s a rather new but a really great broker about – TopOption. Let me introduce you to them. Now although TopOption is only a few years old (est. 2013) it is owned by Safecap. Safecap is a respected company, behind many forex brokers such as Markets.com, GoForex and ForexYard. This means they have some experience. And it shows.

The platform looks great and well thought out. Generally a good user experience. I’ve encoutered very few glitches, nothing that has really interfered with trading. What I like is that they offer a lot of education. And it is actually truly great. You can take part of webinars, get free ebooks and also do trading sessions. I always look at the educational material that a broker offers you. If you’re a beginner that is something that is really important. As many brokers mainly try and make you deposit more and more, this one actually tries to offer support.

Their platform uses Keystone technology (whatever that means, I approve, really great platform). There are 180 assets to trade with, including some of the most popular stocks, commodities, indices, bitcoin and currency pairs.

They also do binary options on unique assets that many brokers don’t offer for example – Brent Oil, Israel Shekel, Turkish Lira, US Treasury Bonds, and more.

The types of binary options include the Classic Option, 60 Second Options, One Touch Binary Options, Option Builder, and Pro Option. They offer tools such as Roll Over, Double Up, Sell Option, History Graph, Trade Confirmation and Stock Pairs.

Returns on the EUR/USD is 85%. Recently returns on one touch options have risen to 250%.

TopOption’s minimum deposit for new trading accounts is $100 which is great if you are a beginner.

Start small, make it big.

Markets.com Review

Markets.com Review

If you want to have a go at trading traditional options you might want to try Markets.com. The days when you needed a huge amount to enter the Forex trading market are long gone. I occasionally invest in different assets on a longer term as well. I tried markets.com and here are some of my experiences and thoughts:

So let’s look over the basics.

  • Minimum investment on markets.com is $100. I think this is reasonable. Great for beginners as I always recommend learning with small amounts. You do not want to start investing a lot on your first day of trading.
  • There are no commissions or fees on trades. With traditional trading it varies – some chare a fee, the others take a cut from the exchange rate.
  • They have very tight spreads. Meaning the difference between a bid and an ask price is very small.
  • Welcome bonuses are available

Their website I am not a big fan of. I do like a clean, modern design and theirs just feels a bit clumsy. However because this broker pairs with Metatrader 4 this is not really a problem as you do not have to use the browser based version. Simply pair your markets.com account with Metatrader and add all the indicators you need for your strategy. That isn’t to say that I particularly enjoy the looks of Metatrader, however it has everything you need. Looks aren’t the most important thing after all and I should really get over it.

Also of great importance to me is customer service. They brag about winning lots of awards for their customer service. I have conversed with their support a few times and I have to say all was dealt professionally and well. I have no complaints in this area. Problems were solved quickly, without a fuss and in a very pleasant and polite manner. Top scores there.

There are no fees during the deposit/withdrawal process and Markets.com commits to reimbursing the client for any charges incurred to the financial intermediary (i.e. the bank) in deposits that exceed the $2,500 mini account limit – wow. Many brokers normally charge you for getting your own money out.

About getting your cash: Credit card withdrawals are pretty much instant, withdrawals through other service providers may take up to 3 days at times.

All together gets great marks from me. Would and will use again!

Plus 500 Review

Plus 500 Review

Let’s also have a look at Plus 500. They are one of the most popular brokers out there and still going strong. Even though this is not focused on binary options they offer various different trading instruments and assets to choose from.

Trading Platform –  Plus 500 is very reliable and puts great effort in to making sure everything is up to regulations. Plus500 is authorized and regulated by well-regarded financial regulators: Plus500UK LTD is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Plus500 CY LTD is authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. Plus500 AU LTD is regulated by Australian Securities and investments Commission. Plus500 Ltd is listed on the AIM, section of the London Stock Exchange and follows best practice corporate governance.

This eliminates a degree of worry as there are quite a few dodgy brokers out there.

Easy to use– Plus 500 offers something to traders of various experiences. You can also trade CFD-s on their platform.

Diversification in trading– Plus500 traders can trade CFDs with over 2,000 instruments (Shares, Indices, Commodities, Forex, and ETFs) across over 20 different markets worldwide.

Localization – The platform and support is available in 32 different languages! I do like this personal approach

Trade on the go – As everyone seems to be on their mobile device anywhere nowadays you can also trade anywhere. Plus 500 has great apps for trading on the go. I’ve tried many mobile apps and sometimes they can be a sad shadow of the desktop verision. I do really like their app and use it happily 🙂

Try it first – As most brokers do they too offer a demo account so you can essentially “try before you buy”. Also as I always encourage – you should practice your strategies regularly on a demo account as well.

Service – Pretty good. Also you can have support in your native language. Support responds promptly and professionally to queries

Payouts – Fast ! Also I like that they offer many different options for withdrawals for example: credit card, Paypal, Skrill, bank transfer etc.

CFD’s can put your capital at risk if used in a speculative manner. CFD’s are categorized as high risk by some regulatory authorities as there is no protection of capital, no guaranteed return and customers can lose the amount invested. With the Plus500 Trading Platform it is not possible to lose more than the amount invested and customers cannot be left in debt to Plus500. Trading CFD’s is not suitable for all investors; make sure you fully understand the risks involved.

Plus500 UK Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 509909). Plus500 CY LTD is authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (License No. 250/14). Plus500AU Pty Ltd, AFSL #417727 issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission is authorized to issue these products to Australian residents. Optionfair Review

What’s the deal with Optionfair?

It used to be a pretty basic platform – not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing. Not at all. Optionfair has all the assets and trading instruments you would need. The layout of the page is self explanatory and easy to use. They’ve kept it simple and I like that. A lot of brokers nowadays have gone a bit over the top with all the bells and whistles on their sites.

Let’s look at some of their features – the desktop page has everything you need. The price also seems to respond rather accurately. What I mean by that is with some brokers there seems to be a significant lag in the pricing and the price change between when you click and what price they actually give you can be rather great. I suppose they do always try to give you the worst price possible. Sometimes though with Optionfair it cancels the trade saying – the price has changed, trade cannot be executed. Which I find rather annoying.

Withdrawals. Pretty decent so far. Your standard 3-5 days. Normally they deliver on time. Occasionally you might need to poke customer service a bit if they are late. That seems to solve the problem. So far my money hasn’t stayed somewhere in limbo with them.

Generally a totally decent broker. I suppose everyone has their  issues. Today I noticed that you cannot access the desktop site one a mobile device. They do have an app as well and that works pretty well but if you want to use the web version on your tablet for example it won’t let you log in. That option just isn’t there – you can register for an account or get the app. I find that really strange. Hopefully that is a temporary glitch and will be sorted out soon. That said the app is actually better to use on a mobile device anyways…

Platform 7.5/10 I prefer simple design, there’s really no need for a lot of flashy stuff right in your face. In this sense I do like Optionfair. Perhaps it has a bit of an old fashioned and outdated vibe though. The app though looks cool.

Service 8/10 Nothing bad to say to be honest. So far all contact I’ve had with them has been pleasant. Issues have been solved in a polite manner.

Payouts 7.5/10 Yes the payouts do actually go up to 91% but only on short term trades like the 60 second ones. The rest is between 70-80% depending on the asset. Pretty standard. Very good for you though if you prefer trading with a short term strategy. I personally prefer to trade 10-15 min timeframes so there are some that can give higher rates.

IQ Option Review

IQ Option Review

I first came across IQ Option a little over a year ago when they had just started. In the beginning IQ Option wasn’t that great and they had issues, but I can understand that it can be hard to get it right the first time. At the beginning there were glitches on the site and the customer service was poor ( I didn’t quite understand if they were rude or just didn’t speak much english). I liked the way the platform looked though and the high returns on trades so I decided to give IQ Option a chance.

I am really impressed how far they have come. IQ Option has turned from a funky looking platform riddled with typos to a top broker who offers educational materials and sponsors an Australian F4 team. They are still offering the highest returns on the market and are constantly adding new shiny features to the platform. Let’s look at some of these cool options IQ Option has added:

Alerts – the platform can give you notifications about change of direction in the trend. It will notify you when it expects the price to start falling or climbing again, advising when to start a Put or Call option. I normally tend to stick to my own strategy and don’t advise trading on just the brokers suggestions but they seem to be fairly accurate. You can use it as an extra indicator to determine whether to start a trade or not.

Now let’s look at the important stuff:

Minimum trade is $1 and minimum deposit is $10. This is why I recommend IQ Option to beginners. Don’t start with a big deposit when just learning! Regarding withdrawals. I get a lot of emails asking if you can get your money out of IQ Option. So far I’ve not had massive problems with that. Some of my withdrawals have taken longer than promised, but I have always received them eventually.

Returns are a lot higher than most other brokers – sometimes going up to 90%.

And my most favourite part – no annoying sales calls. I’m serious, in the time I’ve been trading with IQ Option I’ve not received one phone call. Not even one.

Platform 8.5/10

I do really like the modern design and features of IQ Option. Looks wise, it is an elegant, well thought out web platform that gives you a clear picture of what’s going on. I know design aesthetics are subjective, but the overall look and feel really appeals to me; it feels professional. It has all the functionality that is needed without going over the top.

Service 8.5/10

They did have a poor start but IQ Option has definitely redeemed themselves on the customer service side in my eyes. Issues are dealt with in a timely manner and in a professional way. They don’t seem to be using Google Translate anymore either.

Payouts 9.0/10

This was the reason I started using IQ Option is the first place – if you can trade with one broker that gives you a payout of 88% on your trade or another that only goes up to 80%, it’s a no brainer for me.

24option Review

24option Review

24option is still one of the most popular brokers out there. I can totally see why though. The platform has everything you would need and even more. In my opinion maybe even too much, I have sometimes gotten a bit lost looking for the asset I want to trade with, because there are just so many.  You get your own personal account manager, but the service depends heavily on how much you’ve deposited. Gold accounts with 24option of course, like with any other broker get the best treatment and higher returns. With a gold account you will also get extensive one on one education and access to free webinars. These are good I must admit – I’ve learnt a lot from them.

Withdrawals are normally pretty fast but a weird system though – they pay out in separate chunks according to what you’ve deposited. I’ve normally received my withdrawals from 24option in a few days. However I have heard some people waiting for weeks – not sure if these are just unlucky few as it’s not happened to me personally but I know it definitely happens occasionally.

The minimum deposit on 24option is $250 and the minimum trade, as the name states is $24. Withdrawals take around 3-5 business days. With a Gold account you can also get cash faster – in you account in up to 3 days.

What I really hate about 24option are the sales calls though. I opened my account with 24option about 2 years ago and even though extensively saying – I do not want you to call me, they still haven’t stopped. Calling from an unknown number I still sometimes accidentally pick up the phone to hear – “heeeeyyy Liina, what you doing?” Maybe not an issue for someone else but I personally just cannot stand it.

Platform 75/100  It has all of the functionality and different options you could ask for. To me the layout and design could maybe do with a bit of an update.

Service 75/100  When you need to speak to customer service it is great – 24option have a very fast, professional and responsive support team. The sales team though, in my eyes, a bit over the top. So if I didn’t get bothered by the sales, support would definitely get higher marks.

Payouts 80/100  With a normal account you’d be looking at payouts around 70%. That will increase depending on whether you get the Silver or Gold account. Gold account you could be looking at payouts around 80%.
